From a sheet of recycled copper a shield shape is cut. Then heated to soften the metal  (called annealing) allowing the pattern to press into the metal surface using a rolling mill.  
 
A patina is added to highlight the pattern details. Metal sealed for durability.   Lightweight 24 gauge copper.  Sterling silver Earring Wires with a Copper ball.  Measuring 1.5” in length.
